In January 2026, our team travelled to South Australia to undertake our fourth round of fieldwork. We conducted a workshop at the wonderful art space, Sauerbier House at Port Noarlung, south of Adelaide.

Participants built a lo-fi granulator that enables them to playback samples from an SD card in a myriad of ways to create textural soundscapes.
Sauerbier house was a brilliant setting for this workshop, surrounded by artworks, artist studios and the waterfront.
The following day we attended an event at Adelaide contemporary experimental featuring a range of artist talks movement, performances and sound experiences. The event featured two performances by workshop participants using the granulator. One improvised duet and one solo performance integrating a modular synthesiser.
